Tamilnadu MBBS/BDS counseling 2020 for Medical and Dental Students in Tamil Nadu is held every year from July to August. Usually the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) will announce the provisional MBBS / BDS Counseling details two or three days after the NEET results are announced.
Typically this notice includes the counseling schedule (Phase I, II, III), seat allocation for the respective medical and dental colleges, sports reservation seats, and fee schedule for public and private colleges.

1. NEET hall ticket
NEET exam hall ticket is a certificate that applicants apply for on the website to write the entrance exam and download on the website before the exam.
2. NEET score card
The NEET Exam Score Card is an assessment certificate for students who have written the NEET exam. Those who have taken this exam can get it on the NEET website on the day the results are released.
3. SSLC/ Xth standard mark sheet
SSLC Certificate is the assessment certificate issued to the applicants at the school after the completion of their 10th standard.
4. HSC or equivalent mark sheet
HSC Certificate is an assessment certificate issued to applicants after completion of Class XII in their respective schools.
5. Counselling call letter
After the applicants apply for the MBBS counseling, the Rank list will be published. Accordingly the students at the top of the table will be invited to the counseling first. For that everyone will have their entry certificate provided before the counseling. It will be published on the TN medical selection website. This entry certificate is know as Counseling call letter.
6. Bonafide certificate for having studied in Tamilmadu from VI to XII std
Applicants must obtain a Certificate of education from the Headmaster at their respective schools before coming to the counseling.
7. TC from the school past studied or Bonafide certificate from the college
Applicants must obtain a Touch Certificate from their schools. Or if the applicants are currently studying in any of the colleges, they have to get a Bonafide certificate from there.
8. Native certificate of the candidate who are native of Tamilnadu but have studied from std VI to XII outside Tamilnadu
Generally, if the applicants from Tamil Nadu have studied in Tamil Nadu from Class VI to Class XII, the school certificate is sufficient. However, those who have studied in other states outside Tamil Nadu are required to submit proof of residency (Native certificate).
9. Aadhar card
Aadhar Card is the Indian Citizenship Certificate of the applicant. This is a certificate issued by the Central Government.
10. Community certificate
Medical counseling in Tamil Nadu is caste based. So everyone has to submit their caste certificate to take seats in respect to their own caste. Medical reservation in Tamil Nadu is fixed for each caste.
11. First graduation certificate (If applicable)
If the applicants are first graduates, the first graduate certificate must be submitted. Fees concessions are available only on submission.
12. Ration card / Passport / Birth certificate
Applicants should keep Ration card or Passport or Birth certificate along with Aadhar card for further reference for their native.
13. Eligibility certificate (only for CBSE)
CBSE students those who want to apply for state medical counseling should submit their Eligibility certificate from respective exam board.
14. Two demand drafts (DD)
The applicants should submit a demand draft of Rs.500 as a processing fees for allocation.
One more demand draft of Tuition fees should also be paid before seat allotment. For government colleges, tuition fees for OC and BC category is Rs.13610 and SC and ST category is Rs.9610. But those who are uptaking private colleges under Government quota should submit a DD of Rs.25,000.
