How did Dayton Clarke die?

Dayton Clarke, a former Kam River Fighting Walleye player passed away in Oregon after being struck by a truck.

The hockey community was in complete grief after the sudden death of the Oregon Ducks’ hockey player. Clarke also played for Kamloops Storm and Elliot Lake Red Wings. 

The University announces the loss of Dayton Clarke, a forward for the institution of Oregon Ducks hockey team, who was 21 years old. 

Along with his prowess on the ice and valuable contributions as a teammate, Dayton was renowned for his contagious enthusiasm and pleasant nature.  

Kam River Fighting Walleye posted the following statement on social media following the Clarke’s death.

We are heartbroken to hear of the passing of former Walleye forward Dayton Clarke.

The Kam River Fighting Walleye send our sincere condolences to Dayton’s family, friends, and teammates.

Who was Dayton Clarke?

Clarke was a former forward for the Kam River Fighting Walleye. He was a current player for the University of Oregon Ducks.

Clarke, who is originally from Victoria, British Columbia, was bought by the Kam River Fighting Walleye from the Elliot Lake Red Wings in the middle of the 2021–22 season.

He led Kam River to the Superior International Junior Hockey League championship with 10 points and 10 goals in 14 games during the regular season. Clarke has four goals and two assists in 11 games with the Oregon Ducks the season before.  

Dayton Clarke cause of death:

Dayton Clarke died in an accident after being struck by a truck in Eugene, Oregon. The central collision investigation team of the Eugene Police Department is currently looking into the accident’s specific circumstances.

This sad incident occurred on June 5, 2021, at 3:54 a.m. in Eugene, Oregon.  According to the Eugene, Oregon police department, officers were summoned to the scene at 3:54 a.m. on Saturday in response to a complaint of a seriously injured person in the middle of E. 24th Avenue, between Kincaid and Harris streets.

Police, who have not named the victim, said a 30-year-old man driver returned to the scene in a huge delivery truck shortly after the investigation began to cooperate.

The Fighting Walleye and the University of Oregon both expressed their grief and sympathies for Clarke’s death on social media.
