Casco crash: Explained

Following a two-vehicle collision near Casco on Wednesday morning, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 19-year-old is deceased and a 20-year-old is in critical condition.

Just before 7 a.m., a collision occurred close to 341 Tenney Hill Road. According to deputies, two cars were engaged in the collision, one of which veered off the road and into some trees.

The two occupants of the car that struck the trees were seriously hurt. Nicholas Centofanti, 20, of Casco, was rushed to Maine Medical Centre in critical condition, according to police, while Dylan Chretien passed away at the scene of the collision.

Just before 7 a.m., Chretien and Centofanti were passengers in a car that veered off the road and struck a group of hardwood trees. According to investigators, there was also another vehicle involved. The accident’s cause is still under investigation.

What happened to Dylan Chretien & Nicholas Centofanti?

On Wednesday, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the scene of a fatal collision. Following an automobile accident in Casco, Maine, Dylan Chretien, 19, of Bridgton, passed away.

A second man, identified as 20-year-old Nick Centofanti, was taken to Maine Medical Centre in severe condition, according to law authorities.

The 20-year-old’s parents declared that their son was brain dead and that they would say their final goodbyes a few hours after the catastrophe.

It breaks my heart to inform you all that my son Nick Centofanti is brain-dead. My heart is saddened as we say goodbye, but I appreciate your support.

Three individuals in their late teens or early 20s were reported to be in the second automobile by Cumberland County officials.

They think speed was a factor in the car’s collision with the trees. Drag racing is risky, according to Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce, if it was the cause of the collision.
