Six Victims are all belonging to the same Parraz family.

The victims have been named as 72-year-old Rosa Parraz, 52-year-old Eladio Parraz Jr., 50-year-old Jennifer Analla, 19-year-old Marcos Parraz, 16-year-old Elyssa Parraz, and her 10-month-old son Nycholas Parraz by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.

What happened in Goshen home? Shooting explained:

After receiving a call reporting numerous gunshots, officers were dispatched to a residence in Goshen around 4 a.m. local time, according to Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux.

Sheriff Boudreaux later told that a deputy who responded to the call discovered the baby in her 16-year-old mother’s arms in a ditch outside the residence.

Both had suffered head wounds. According to Boudreaux, a forensic examination found that she attempted to flee before the gunman caught up with her, stood over her, and fired multiple shots into her head.

According to the sheriff, there was one more victim standing in the doorway and three others, including an older woman, were inside.

Except for a man who died after being brought to a hospital, all were dead on the spot. The sheriff claimed that two women managed to flee the assault by hiding in a neighboring trailer.

The three survivors will be interrogated by officials. One of them hid inside the house throughout the killings.

“He was in such a state of fear that all he could do was hold the door, hoping he was not the next victim,” Boudreaux stated “.

One of the victims has a criminal history:

Eladio Parraz Jr., a felon who was murdered in the shooting on Monday, was arrested on January 3 as a result of a search warrant at the home; nevertheless, Boudreaux claimed Parraz Jr. was not the “initial intended target” and chose not to elaborate.

Jail records show that the 52-year-old Parraz Jr. had a lengthy criminal history that included reckless driving to avoid arrest, owning a firearm, and using drugs.

According to the sheriff, the search warrant resulted from a parole compliance inspection during which detectives discovered shell casings on the ground. According to Boudreaux, the residents would not permit officials to enter the house.

They returned with a search warrant and detained Parraz Jr. after finding ammo, a rifle, a shotgun, and methamphetamine in the home, as per the court records. He was later released on bail after four days.

Why did the suspect shoot the Parraz family members?

Police say, Detectives believe there are at least two suspects and this is not a random act of violence.
It appears this family was targeted and there are gangs associations involved, as well as potential drug investigations, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s office.
TCSO detectives executed a search warrant for drugs at the victims’ house a week ago. The TCSO Crime Lab, Forensics Unit, Homicide Detectives, and Gang Detectives are now on the site conducting an investigation in Goshen home homicides incident.
