To Alisha’s family she was born into, the football family she chose, and friends may your tears turn to smiles as the season of grief turns to memories of good times. There are so many things I could say about AO. Relentless, leader, friend, sister, powerful, smart, creative, selfless, but above all she was loved.
We have seasons with people in our lives. None of us know how long that season will be. It can be weeks, years, or a lifetime. Our hearts are broken. We take solace in knowing she is no longer in pain.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out. This has definitely been a difficult week for the Baltimore Nighthawks. As we work through our grief and keep each other uplifted, we also offer our sincere condolences to Alisha’s family.
For those leaning on their faith as we go through this time of grieving, I have found some peace in this prayer for strength.
Lord, at the moment nothing seems to help the loss I feel.
My heart is broken and my spirit mourns.
All I know is your grace is sufficient.
This day, this hour, moment by moment
I choose to lean on you,
For when I am at my weakest Your strength is strongest.
I pour out my grief to you.
And praise you that on one glorious day
When all suffering is extinguished and love has conquered, We will walk together again., the team added.
