What happened to Alexis Gonzales?
Alexis Gonzales, a 20-year-old woman has died in the shooting that took place at the 2700 block of Persimmon Street.
Before 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, police were called to a complaint of gunfire in the 2700 block of Persimmon.
According to the CCPD, when officers got on the site, they discovered numerous victims suffering gunshot wounds.
Up to the arrival of the medical teams, the responding cops performed life-saving procedures on the spot.
One of them was a 20-year-old lady who had been declared dead at the scene by authorities.
Corpus Christi Crónica reported the death of Alexis and stated,
“Rest In Peace Alexis Gonzales. She had just turned 20 years old on Saturday and was shot and killed on the 2700 block of Persimmon Street after a fight that also wounded 4 other people on Sunday around 11:30 p.m. The world has lost too many young souls to senseless violence. Let’s do our part to spread love and protect our community. Please send prayers to the Gonzales family.”

Persimmon street shooting- Explained:
According to officials, the incident began when two automobiles arrived at a home and a fight broke out among the people in the vehicles and inside the home.
Then, as the altercation grew worse, shots were fired and several people were wounded.
They verified that both individuals involved in the altercation knew one another.

Travis Pace, CCPD senior public information officer stated, “They have individuals detained for part of the investigation, for questioning, it’s still an active investigation,”
Alexis Gonzales died at the scene. Four other victims were admitted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, as per the officials. There are currently no outstanding suspects in this case.
The names of the victims or those in prison have not been made public.
Who are the suspects?
Corpus Christi police officers began their inquiry into the homicide, which happened in the 2700 block of Persimmon Street, on Monday, February 6, 2023.
Freddy Davis, 19, and Attrieon Sherrill, 22, were seized on the spot right away. After being taken to the Corpus Christi Police Department for detective investigations, Davis and Sherrill were then taken to the City Detention Center for processing.
A third suspect, a male suspect reported as being 22 years old, has not yet been booked because of a medical clearance.
On one count of murder, Davis and Sherrill were both arrested ($1,000,000 Bond). Corpus Christi Police says that This is still an active and ongoing investigations.
Investigators said there was an argument between people in a car and people in a home and that the shooting was not random.
