The unexpected demise of the Norwegian defensive player has shocked those outside of the sports world as well. The unexpected death of a talented athlete is always a tragic event that affects teammates, coaches, fans, and even those who did not directly know the person. Keep reading to know more about it in detail.
Who was Leo Krafft?
Leo Krafft was a defense player from Norwegian. Krafft has been pursuing his football passion, since he was a dedicated young kid in his native Hamar, Norway.
When he was just 11 years old, he discovered his love for football as a small-town boy, but the club in Hamar, which is 90 minutes north of Oslo, disbanded after only a few short years. Despite this, he continued.
As he grew, he also started working out in the weight room. However, there was no nearby organized football. He would venture further afield if he couldn’t play football in Norway. He looked for a program that would send him to a high school in the US where he could play football after learning about student exchange programs.
One was discovered in Kyle, Texas. He first encountered the sport at Lehman High. He had heard of the Texas high school football, and this was it. On Friday nights, around 8,000 people would go up to watch the team play.
The few relatives and friends who would show up in Norway were a far cry from this. Krafft had no trouble making the team because of his stature and quickness. A new world opened up for him.
Career:
A year later, he returned to Norway and joined the Valerenga Trolls, a team that was about an hour and a half away from his home. He commuted for training and games and helped the team win the Norwegian Under 19 championship. In 2018, Krafft made his way back to Norway and joined the best team there.
In addition to Timi Nuikka from Finland, Krafft was a second reinforcement from Scandinavia for the Panthers. The Norwegian defender has previously represented groups like the Carlstad Crusaders, Valerenga Trolls, Eidsvoll 1814’s, and Oslo Vikings. Outside of Europe, Krafft had the chance to succeed in high school in the USA, where he represented the school’s colors while attending Lehman High School in Texas after participating in a student exchange.
In the 40-yard dash drill, Krafft ran a time of 5.13 seconds while benching 225 pounds for 20 repetitions at the NFL International Combine in Germany and the CFL Global Combine in 2020.

What happened?
The incident took place on Friday, August 25, at night in one of the housing complexes, according to information given by Wojciech Jaboski from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wroclaw.
The police were notified of a man disturbing the peace about 10 o’clock. Leo Krafft, a 28-year-old Norwegian, entered a guilty plea.
He admitted to the uniformed officers that he had previously consumed beer and used narcotics, according to the police report. He also indicated the location of the methamphetamine and marijuana.
Wojciech Jabłoński says that the 28-year-old become aggressive during the intervention; he disobeyed directions and pulled repeatedly.
The uniforms used “direct coercive measures causing the lowest possible discomfort of their use” and called another patrol. The policeman exchanges physical force and handcuffs.
The uniforms contacted paramedics to the scene to continue the activities jointly in a way that ensured optimum safety due to the psychophysical state he was in and the breathing issues that later surfaced.
The individual was still highly agitated when the Medical Rescue Team arrived, so the doctors chose to apply sedatives.
Sadly, not long after receiving them, he started to feel dizzy and passed out. His vital functions were recovered once professional cardiopulmonary resuscitation was initiated.
The policeman says that the 28-year-old was taken by ambulance to one of Wroclaw’s hospitals, where he tragically passed away after more than an hour.
Investigation:
Investigators from the prosecutor’s office, the Internal Affairs Bureau of the Police, and control units working for the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wroclaw are looking into the case.
Efforts are being made right now to pinpoint precisely how the intervention unfolded and what officers and paramedics did.
As of right now, preliminary investigation into the situation has not turned up any unusual patterns in the steps done. The prosecutor’s office has determined that the man’s body will undergo an autopsy.
