Reggie Chaney cause of death
Reggie Chaney, a former basketball player for the Houston Cougars and Arkansas, passed away at the age of 23 today, according to the Houston Chronicle. Even yet, it’s always tragic to witness young people pass away too soon, particularly those who are under 23.
Although official information is still awaited, some reports said that Chaney was discovered unconscious in his flat hours after complaining of a temperature and feeling unwell.
Given the recent deaths of Ryan Mallett, Alex Collins, Chris Smith, Charles Balentine, and Dion Stutts, this may go down as the most devastating offseason in contemporary Razorback sports history.
Therefore, Reggie Chaney cause of death was not yet officially announced by his family. However, it is essential to await an official announcement before drawing conclusions.

About Reggie Chaney’s career
Following his second season with the Razorbacks in 2018, Chaney played for Arkansas from 2018 to 2019. He then transferred to Houston. He was a member of the 2021 Houston team, which made it all the way to the NCAA Tournament Final Four.
Chaney relocated to Houston after playing his first two seasons of college ball at Arkansas. There, he played his final three seasons of collegiate ball and developed a devoted following.
The 6-foot-8 forward scored 4.0 points on average. In his career, he averaged 2.9 rebounds and 0.5 assists while shooting the field at 66 percent.
Chaney had six points and seven rebounds in a victory over Cleveland State in the first round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament, and he added five points and five rebounds in a loss to Oregon State in the Elite Eight. After the 2021–22 season, he received the American Athletic Conference Sixth Man of the Year award.
Chaney saw a lot of time on the floor while playing forward for both the Razorbacks and the Cougars, appearing in 63 and 104 games respectively.
Chaney finished his college career this past season at Houston. Before falling to Miami in 2022, the Cougars advanced to the Sweet Sixteen.
Reggie Chaney As a Hog
Chaney was a 3-star recruit when he joined the Hogs, but he never really impressed us. In his defense, he was in a precarious circumstance, and it might have just been that Arkansas wasn’t the right place for him to play at the moment.
He was the tallest player on the team the previous season and was forced to play center rather than power forward because of this.
He would have been a guy of average size by the next year. At 6’8″, he is slightly shorter than grad transfers Justin Smith (6’7″), Vance Jackson (6’9″), Abamyomi Iyiola (6’9″), and Jaylin Williams (6’9″), and significantly shorter than Connor Vanover (7’3″).
People mourned Chaney’s loss on social media.
