The Pasco Sheriff’s Office reported today’s arrest of Oscar Adrian Solis in connection with a homicide that occurred during a robbery. Let’s see who is Oscar Adrian Solis and why did he kill the Uber Eats driver, Randall Cooke in detail.

Who is Oscar Adrian Solis? 

Oscar Solis, a 30-year-old person is suspected of killing Randall Cooke, 56, when he was at home in Holiday, Florida.

Authorities claim that a Florida Uber Eats driver was killed and dismembered after delivering food to a “demonic” known gang member’s house. 

Oscar Solis, 30, is charged with randomly killing Randall Cooke, 56, at a residence in Holiday, Florida, and disposing of his body parts in trash bins. 

The victim’s wedding ring and car keys, according to investigators, were also discovered in the residence where he delivered food on April 19. 

Pasco Sheriff says, “Now, we have a hard-working guy, a loving husband who’s no longer with us because this violent individual killed him.” The sheriff continued by calling the murder “a horrific crime of passion.”

‘Violent person’:

The suspect, Oscar Soils is “a very violent person,” according to Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco. Solis relocated from Indiana to Florida in January and has a lengthy criminal history there.

Additionally, he was previously arrested for violence, burglary, and allegedly stabbing someone while incarcerated.

According to the Department of Justice, he is also connected to MS-13, also known as Mara Salvatrucha, which has members all over the United States and engages in a variety of criminal operations like drug distribution, illicit gun sales, and the smuggling of weapons.

The Pasco County investigators says that the 30-year-old guy who killed the victim was on parole for crimes he committed in Indiana and relocated to Florida earlier this year.

What happened to Randall Cooke?

Randall Cooke, a delivery driver for Uber Eats, disappeared after arriving at Solis’s Moog Rd. residence in Holiday just before 7 p.m. on April 19 to deliver food that Solis’s father had ordered for Solis. 

Before leaving for home, an Uber Eats driver texted his wife that he would make one last delivery, but he never arrived. 

According to Sheriff Chris Nocco, Cooke dropped off his wife on April 19 and started making deliveries. Throughout the day, the couple exchanged texts with one another. 

Cooke informed her that he would be home shortly at 6:45 p.m. His wife sent a follow-up message at 7:13 p.m., but there was no reply. Soon after, his phone became off.

The driver’s wife reported Cooke’s missing the following day. To get his last-known GPS coordinates, detectives contacted Uber Eats. They soon discovered that Cooke’s final delivery stop was the house at 3438 Moog Road in Holiday. 

The Cooke’s family also posted a social media message requesting the public’s assistance in finding him.

Detectives searched the house on April 20 when no one answered the front door, according to Nocco. They went back the next day and spoke with Oscar Adrian Solis’s roommate, who was 30 years old. 

“The roommate was able to provide us with a video. You can see the victim walking up to the house to deliver the food but the video cuts off,” the sheriff stated. 

Sheriff said that it was around 6:55 p.m. when he walks up to the house. You can see in the video on the following day, the 20th, the suspect was carrying trash bags with another individual around the side of the house. Our investigators asked for permission to go through the trash bags.”

They discovered human remains inside the trash bags and they promptly established a crime scene perimeter.

One of the individuals looked to be dragging a large bag across the ground, according to the arrest affidavit. According to Nocco, the remains of the missing delivery man were discovered in “several” bags.

Solis was arrested for failing to register as a criminal in Pasco County and violating his parole.

‘Crime of passion’:

According to the detectives, it doesn’t seem like the victim and suspect were acquainted. Sheriff referred to the incident as “gruesome” – a “crime of passion.”

Pasco County jail records shows that Solis was charged on April 24 with murder while engaged in a robbery.

“This was absolutely a horrific crime of passion,” Nocco stated. “This is demonic.” Detectives are still trying to figure out why the murder occurred, according to Nocco.

“There was a gentleman who was working, doing his last delivery of the night, and this person killed him for no reason and took him away from his family,” he claimed.

Records from the jail show that Solis is being held without bond. A police arrest affidavit states that around 2 am, Solis’ flatmate noticed “loud noises” coming from his room.

According to investigators, Solis was later observed with minor injuries on his hands and arms. Detectives searched the neighborhood for information to support their case against Solis in the days that followed.

The arrest report states that there was blood located throughout the house. Approximately 500 meters away from the house, Cooke’s abandoned car was discovered to have “blood-soaked rags and paper towels, as well as a red DoorDash bag similar to the one (Cooke), was observed carrying.”

Why did he kill Randall Cooke?

The motive behind the attack was not known yet. Authorities are still investigating about the incident. Oscar Adrian Soil had been in Indiana on parole. 

Detectives made public two CCTV photos of two individuals who were observed leaving the Holiday home an hour before the murder. The sheriff’s office investigators tracked down and spoke with those two. 

According to the sheriff, Solis’ father resides nearby. The roommate and the suspect’s father have a lease on the Holiday house, which is a rental. When Solis relocated to Pasco County, his father moved.

According to detectives, the roommate wasn’t at home when the murder occurred. The officials states, the suspect’s father had his son’s food delivered through Uber Eats.

“I kept asking what’s the connection? This was an abominable crime motivated by passion. This is demonic. What he did was demonic,” Sheriff Nocco stated.

“But at the same time, we couldn’t answer the question, ‘Why?’ All that appears is there was a gentleman who was working, He was doing his last delivery for the night and this person killed him.”

‘Caring man’:

Following Cooke’s disappearance loved ones posted messages on social media pleading for support for his family.

Cooke was a caring man who had a heart of gold,his family says. Cooke’s wife stated that he was a stepfather to her two daughters and that he also has two daughters and a son in a post that her daughter Brittany Dzoba posted.

“Randy was a hardworking, loving, kind, and caring man who cared deeply about his family and friends,” she said.

In a statement, an Uber representative stated that the firm had maintained regular contact with the sheriff’s office during the inquiry. “We are heartbroken by the news of this horrific crime,” the statement reads.

“There is no reason why Mr. Cooke shouldn’t be home with his family today, and we are keeping his loved ones in our thoughts.”
