Atletico Tucuman authorities said that Colombian player Andres Balanta passed away on Tuesday after fainting during a training session.
Balanta, 22, passed away after more than 40 minutes of unsuccessful resuscitation attempts at a hospital in San Miguel de Tucuman after collapsing during his team’s first practice following the holiday break.

Andres Balanta cause of death
The Colombian soccer player Andrés Balanta died in Argentina after suffering a decompensation in the training of Atlético Tucumán, his club, on the Colombian afternoon of this Tuesday. The news left soccer fans cold, as the young man from Cali was only 22 years old.

Colombian football player Andrés Balanta (18 January 2000 – 29 November 2022) was a defensive midfielder for Atlético Tucumán and Deportivo Cali.
