William Czarnecki, often known as Bill, a 53-year-old Milwaukee resident, was shot and killed on Monday while mowing his lawn close to 28th and Villard. Keep reading to know more about it in detail.

 

What happened?

William Czarnecki, 53, was shot and died on Monday while cutting his lawn close to 28th and Villard.

According to Milwaukee police, the 53-year-old victim was struck around 12:45 pm. He suffered injuries that caused him to pass away.

The victim’s family identified him William Czarnecki, but added that he also goes by Bill.

William “Bill” Czarnecki was preparing his home for his daughter’s weekend visit after recently relocating back to Milwaukee.

At Boilermakers  Local 107, Czarnecki was a journeyman boilermaker. He attended Washington High School and MATC Milwaukee to study welding technology. He was from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and lived in Waukesha until his death.

Residents on Czarnecki’s block claim that he always had a smile on his face and would be tending to his dog and grass. He was mowing the grass when a car passed by and killed him as he was working. Now, his family members are attempting to identify the perpetrator.

 

Czarneckis Wife statement:

On Monday, TMJ4 spoke with the mother of Czarnecki’s daughter there. Although she asked to remain anonymous, she admitted to TMJ4 that she learned about the incident on Facebook.

She said,

“My heart dropped,” 

“Somebody off of Facebook contacted me and asked me ‘Did I know what happened to my kid’s dad?’ I said no and then that’s when they told me.”

According to the woman, Czarnecki had recently relocated back to Milwaukee and was preparing his home for his daughter’s weekend visit.

She added:

“He’s such a nice guy. Very nice. Outgoing, funny,”

“He loved his dog, he loved his daughter.”

 

Police Investigation:

Police are looking for any potential suspects while they look into what happened before the shooting.

Czarnecki’s death on Monday was the second victim of gun violence in the city. Another guy, 34, was shot and died in Milwaukee earlier on Monday morning. Police report that the murder took place at 8:45 in the morning close to 32nd and Cameron.

In either homicide, there are no suspects in custody.

Authorities are currently looking into Czarnecki’s death circumstances, which are yet unclear. The news has obviously crushed Czarnecki’s family and friends, and the community has been horrified by the tragic loss.

The news of Czarnecki’s passing has understandably devastated his family and friends, and condolences have poured in from all over the neighborhood. Many people have expressed their sympathies and offered support to Czarnecki’s loved ones on social media during this difficult period.
