A UK ticket purchaser won the EuroMillions lottery’s record prize of £195 million. It is being referred to be the largest ever National Lottery victory. Let’s see Who won the EuroMillions jackpot of £195 million? Revealed.
The ticket’s original purchaser has not yet come forward. In addition to the Lucky Star numbers 02 and 12, lottery operator Camelot has requested players to check their tickets for the winning numbers 06, 23, 27, 40, and 41.
In the history of the National Lottery, only 15 players have been able to win a jackpot of more than £100 million.
According to Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ consultant at The National Lottery, “What a wonderful night for one UK ticket-holder who has scooped the biggest-ever EuroMillions jackpot of £195 million.”
The fourth lucky EuroMillions jackpot winner in our country this year and the 15th UK winner of more than £100 million, he continued, “This person has just become the largest National Lottery winner of all time.”
The latest winner is currently wealthier than Adele, who is estimated to be worth $150 million.
The winner will receive enough money to purchase 11 Boeing 747 airplanes, 23 Pisces-VI submarines, Southampton Football Club, or property in Mayfair, London, according to a report in The Guardian.
13 European nations participate in the twice-weekly EuroMillions draw. Joe and Jess Thwaite, who are from Britain, won a record-breaking £184 million jackpot in May.
Over the years, some people have won the lottery and choose to spend the money on various items, including Louis Vuitton handbags, dogs, automobiles, trips overseas, and residences. When Jane Restorick, then 17 years old, won the award, she initially purchased a Chihuahua dog and a Louis Vuitton handbag.
When Sue Richards won £3 million in the 2016 EuroMillions lotto, she was a caretaker at the time. She bought a new home in Essex, four cars, and a motorhome, among other things, according to a BBC report.
Richard and Cathy Brown, former journalists from Ipswich, won the lotto in 2013 and opted to use the majority of their winnings to tour the world. The pair remarked after winning £6 million in 2013, “This is more money than we could spend in a lifetime, and we will have joy sharing our good luck with family and charitable organizations.”
As per Camelot, a UK ticket holder has won the record-breaking £195 million EuroMillions jackpot, making it the largest National Lottery victory ever. The winning party will get a £195,707,000 grand prize.
“What a wonderful night for one UK ticket-holder who has scooped the largest-ever EuroMillions jackpot of £195 million,” said Andy Carter, senior winners’ consultant at Camelot.
“This winner, the fourth lucky EuroMillions jackpot winner in this country this year, and the 15th UK winner of more than £100 million has just become the largest National Lottery winner in history. Players are advised to check their tickets and phone us if they believe they are the record-breaking lucky winner for the evening.
It occurs one month after a UK ticket purchaser won the EuroMillions jackpot for about £55 million. Also in June, Camelot, the departing operator of the UK National Lottery, reported declining ticket and instant win game sales as an indication that players had “tightened their belts” in response to rising living expenses.
It said that a 7 percent drop in sales of National Lottery Instants, down £240 million to £3.4 billion, was primarily responsible for the decline. The group attributed the decline in sales in part to the removal of Covid limitations, which it claimed created “more competition for consumers’ attention and dollars.”
Meanwhile, scratch card sales continued to be below pre-pandemic levels as “increasing economic uncertainty” restrained immediate sales as customers felt the impact of mounting cost pressures.
Who won the EuroMillions jackpot of £195 million?
Only 15 UK players have ever won a jackpot of more than £100 million; the previous record-holders were Gloucester residents Joe and Jess Thwaite, who took home £184 million in May of this year.
When Mr. and Mrs. Thwaite were announced as the grand prize winners this morning, they celebrated by exploding a bottle of champagne.
On May 10, a couple from just outside of Gloucester in their 40s named Joe and Jess Thwaite used a Lucky Dip ticket to win a £184,262,899 prize.
The happy couple, who have been married for 11 years, explained that they did not want to bother anyone with keeping the secret and instead chose to go public at a hotel in Cheltenham.
Joe works as a communications sales engineer, while Jess oversees the business operations of the hair shop she owns and operates in Tewkesbury, a wealthy riverside town, with her mother Caroline, and sister Rebecca.
They have identical twin daughters who are eight years old, and Mr. Thwaite has two adult children from a previous marriage who are presently enrolled in college.
The pair said that they will share their victory with their extended families, and Mr. Thwaite’s ex-wife expressed her delight at their success.
The couple, who had a sophisticated four-bedroom home where they prioritized “DIY” projects around the property until recently, acknowledged that their two children had “always dreamt about coming to Hawaii.”
