Who is Jimmy Paiz?

Jimmy Paiz, 42 is the suspect who was being detained at the Chatham County Jail. Paiz was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated violence for the incident that happened in Savannah, Georgia, at 5:35 pm on Thursday.

The tweets from Jimmy Arturo Paiz’s Twitter account shows that he opposes Republican senate candidate Herschel Walker. “According to the preliminary investigation, the teen was campaigning for Raphael Warnock for the upcoming runoff election when the incident occurred,” police said in a release.

Paiz had a social media background that suggests he is a left-wing activist who thinks the GOP wants to murder Americans. A personal website and social media accounts belonging to the Paiz says that he is a Marine veteran and a Honduran-American writer.

Paiz’s tweet from November reads, “Listening to Herschel Walker speak is the same as listening to Mushmouth speak. It’s so embarrassing to live in a state with people that actually support this garbage-ass person. But let’s be real, the GOP loves whitewashed brothers, always have.”

Why did Paiz shot teen boy?

According to Savannah police, a 15-year-old teen who was out campaigning for Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock’s reelection was shot in the leg.

In advance of the incumbent senator’s run-off election on December 6, the teen was canvassing when Jimmy Paiz shot him. Paiz shot him through a locked door while standing at the front entrance of one of the homes on the Hartridge Street on Thursday, according to the preliminary inquiry, police said in a statement.

SPD is investigating a shooting at Hartridge/Price that resulted in non life threatening injuries to the male victim. The suspect has been located. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently under investigation.

The teen was taken to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Soon after the incident, Mr. Paiz was taken into custody.

“At this point, there is no indication the shooting was politically motivated,” the Savannah police said in a statement.

Mr. Warnock’s office released the statement and which reads, “I am saddened to learn about this incident,” Mr. Warnock said. “I am praying for the victim and their family and wish them a full recovery.” However, the motive behind the shooting was not revealed yet.

Later this month, Mr. Warnock will compete against Hershel Walker, a Republican opponent. In the November election, neither man was able to win more than 50% of the state’s votes, which led to the run-off.

The Cobb County Republican Party’s former chairman, Jason Shepherd, told the media that the party might have needed “a little more time” to support Mr. Walker before the run-off elections. The newspaper reported that Mr. Walker skipped the busy Thanksgiving holiday weekend of campaigning.

“We almost need a little bit more time for Herschel’s campaign to get everything off the ground,” Mr Shepherd added. “I think we’re behind the eight ball on this one.”
