Who is Ezekiel Kelly?
Several shootings were reported in Memphis, Tennessee, on Wednesday evening by a 19-year-old black suspect who documented his acts on Facebook, according to police. Ezekiel Kelly, the suspect, is presently in police custody.

What did the Memphis Police say?
The Memphis Police Department has already asked residents to be on the lookout. “Keep an eye out for a male Black… who is suspected of many shootings. According to rumours, he is videotaping his deeds and posting them on Facebook. We don’t know exactly where he is right now.”

The cops published a photo of the teen as well as information on the vehicle he is driving. He was first in a blue or silver sedan with the “rear window busted out,” according to police, but is now in a grey SUV.
When did the police arrange the press conference?
Thursday morning, shortly after midnight, city officials held a press conference. The tragedy resulted in four deaths and three injuries.
He went by various variations of the moniker Zeek Huncho on social media, where he allegedly livestreamed one of the killings.
According to Shelby County court documents, authorities promptly issued a warrant for Kelly’s first-degree murder on Wednesday, as the manhunt for him continued around the city.
What did Kelly said?
Court documents also revealed more about the teen’s background: in 2020, at the age of 17, he faced four felony charges, including two counts of attempted murder, one act of reckless endangerment, and one offence of possession of a firearm.
According to WREG, he pled guilty in 2021 to the lesser charge of aggravated assault. He was sentenced to three years in prison in that case, but he was already out.
Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland announced on March 16 that Kelly had been freed from prison after completing 11 months of a three-year sentence for an aggravated assault plea.
During the rampage, Kelly stated on social media that he would not return to jail.
