What happened to Stephen “tWitch” Boss?

The renowned DJ on Ellen Degeneres’ talk show, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, has passed away, and TMZ has discovered that it appears to be a suicide.

According to law enforcement officials, Allison Holker, Stephen’s wife, came into an LAPD station on Tuesday in a hysterical state because she claimed that Stephen had left the house without his car, which was uncharacteristic of him.

Shortly after that, at around 11:15 AM, paramedics were called to a medical emergency at a hotel in Los Angeles, where they discovered Stephen dead from what seemed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. At the scene, he was identified as deceased.

Allison Holker’s statement on her husband’s death:

Allison Holker shared an heartbreaking statement following the death of her husband, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss. The “So You Think You Can Dance” alum spoke about the death of her well-known DJ spouse from “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” who passed away on Tuesday.

Stephen’s wife, Allison Holker said, “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into, He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him.”

She continues, “He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory.”

Concluding, “Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”

Stephen Boss, popularly known as DJ tWitch of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, passed away on Tuesday in a Los Angeles hotel room at the age of 40, apparently by suicide.   

Stephen’s death was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner. However, the office did not state a cause of death. But according to the reports, it is believed that he died by suicide. But, it was not known why he committed suicide.

On December 13, 2022, Boss’s wife, Allison Holker, an american dancer, choreographer, and actress., reported to officials at the Los Angeles Police Department that he had left their home without his car, which was unusual behavior.

Police later received a call for a shooting at a hotel in L.A., where Stephen tWitch Boss was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Stephen twitch boss’s wife confirmed his death but she did not disclose the circumstances surrounding his death.

Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss left behind his wife and his 3 children. Fans and followers of Stephen were shocked after learning of his demise news. Tributes flooded social media after the death news broke out.

DeGeneres surprised the DJ with a memorable film tribute. “Over a decade ago I met someone who changed my life and our show,” the host said. “I’m talking about you tWitch…I love you so much.”

Who was Stephen “tWitch” Boss?

Stephen Laurel Boss was a freestyle hip-hop dancer, choreographer, actor, television producer, and television personality from the United States.

Stephen began spinning records on Ellen’s show in 2014 and continued doing so until the show’s closure in May 2022. In 2020, he was appointed executive producer of the program.

He also appeared as DeGeneres’ sidekick in Ellen’s Game of Games. He and his wife, Allison Holker, hosted Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings on Freeform and Disney+ from 2018 and 2020. When he finished second on “So You Think Can Dance” in 2008, he actually earned his big break in the entertainment industry.

He continued performing and was cast in a number of roles that allowed him to showcase his dance abilities.  Stephen starred as Jason in the “Step Up” film series and in “Magic Mike XXL.” He spoke about life after “Ellen” and seemed genuinely delighted to spend more time with his family.

Stephen and Allison Holker got hitched in 2013. The couple was both competitors in the “SYTYCD” all-star season. This past Saturday marked the ninth anniversary of Allison and Stephen’s union. They have 3 children. Stephen was 40 years old.
