23-year-old South Jordan resident Emily Fisher was killed in a head-on collision on State Route 30. Keep reading this article to find out what happened to Emily Fisher and her tragic car crash in detail.
What happened to Emily Fisher?
A head-on collision in Cache County resulted in the death of a 23-year-old Utah State student. When the accident occurred, Emily Fisher was en route home for the weekend.
She took the long route home because she was worried about the situation in Sardine Canyon. According to Utah Highway Patrol officials, the collision occurred on State Route 30 close to milepost 101 on Friday at around 2 p.m. in Petersboro.
How did the accident happen?
Investigators claim that the driver of a silver Ford Fiesta lost control of the car as it was moving west and skidded into oncoming eastbound traffic.
Due to the sloppy roadways, a white GMC couldn’t dodge the Ford and struck it head-on. According to the police, after being taken in serious condition to a local hospital, the woman passed away as a result of her wounds.
The GMC’s driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. Two further passengers in the GMC were not hurt.
Who was Emily Fisher?
Fisher was scheduled to receive his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from USU this spring. She recently completed a mission in Milan, Italy, and visited the nation again this summer with friends.
Fisher, a twin, is survived by her parents, who reside in South Jordan, and three sisters. “When she entered a room, she immediately made everyone feel loved.
She was the best among us because she was compassionate and selfless. Her obituary stated that she had a contagious laugh, was a fantastic listener, and would fill any hole in your heart. On Friday, February 3, there will be funeral services.
Emily’s cousin’s heartfelt message
I have been trying to find the words to write this. For those of you that don’t know my dear and beloved cousin and best friend passed away last night due to the effects of a car crash.
I was so blessed to get to know her and to share the same name as her. She had a love of popcorn like nobody else that I’d met. Oh and her love of chocolate. We had so many memories at sporting events. There were so many times when our apartment complex would get us mixed up but now I will miss that. She was my number one supporter when I was in hair school, always coming to get my services done.
I will forever miss getting to introduce ourselves as Emily and Emily and then surprise everyone with fisher and make them guess how that happened. You were taken too soon from this world. It brings me peace knowing you are up there with all our passed family members, some of who you get to meet for the first time.
I love you forever Emily Anne
