According to reports, at roughly 8:20 p.m., an accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle carrier tractor-trailer occurred at the junction of Interstate 10 and Loop 202. The Arizona Department of Public Safety was called to the incident. The DPS adds that Scott, the motorcyclist, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision and that there were no other reported injuries.
As authorities try to clear the vicinity of the event and examine it, the I-10 has been shut down close to the Ray Road exit. Drivers are advised by the Arizona Department of Transportation to take other routes. There is no schedule for when the facility will reopen at the moment.
