Morgan Yoney, a Brave Pennsylvania woman passed away after a battle with cystic fibrosis. Let’s see more about Yoney’s cause of death.

How did Morgan Yoney die?

Morgan Yoney, a 29-year-old girl with Cysic a Fibrosis passed away suddenly. Morgans Army announced this sad news in the following social media statement,

Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Girlfriend, Grandaughter, Neice, Cousin, Friend. She was something to all of us and loved by everyone

My beautiful sister gained her own angel wings tonight and is ultimately healed.

Please pray for peace and comfort for our family as we grieve and start our healing process. We will need time to figure things out. The love and support we have received from her whole Army is unmatched. We will be eternally grateful. We love you all.

Morgan Yoney’s battle with cystic fibrosis:

The start of her trouble was when Morgan was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when she was 9 months old, but she enjoyed a very normal life until the age of 12.

She underwent a double lung and liver transplant in 2010. Her body started rejecting the transplanted organs and she experienced Chronic Rejection in May 2013, which left her with lasting scarring and damage to the point that her replacement lungs can now only function at 18%.

Due to these circumstances, a second double lung transplant was the only option after the rejection’s treatment failed.

After spending time on vacation with her family in South Carolina, Morgan Yoney was admitted to hospital with cystic fibrosis.

What started as pneumonia quickly turned into a struggle with microorganisms inside her body. She is dependent on a 24-hour ventilator, on dialysis, and on medicine to maintain her blood pressure.

The Yoneys have plans to return Morgan to Pittsburgh, where her ailment may be treated by local medical professionals who are familiar with her.

Morgan had waited for a lung transplant for 21 days in the ICU at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. They claimed that I was close to passing away, Morgan stated.

A campaign by many North Hills companies and the “Morgan’s Army” Facebook page helped the 22-year-old’s search for lungs gain traction in the area.

Life changed for Morgan Yoney on December 15, 2016. In her hospital room, she received a call informing her that a set of lungs had become available.

Surgery and rehabilation:

The call came in at 5 a.m. Tammy stated that she was prepared for the worst. “I was thinking it was the doctor calling us over because something had happened to Morgan,” Tammy said.

“But it was Morgan and she was like, ‘mom I got the call.'” Morgan underwent a nine-hour operation and had a difficult recovery, which included one week on a heart and lung machine and a period during which they had to maintain her chest cavity open.

She was in the hospital for over three months in total. In February, Morgan had a full rehab routine during her first week home.

Her persistent condition and the multiple drugs she was taking had a negative impact on her kidneys and she underwent dialysis four days a week. She underwent two lung, liver and kidney transplants totally.

Unfortunately, she was hit with pneumonia and her lungs became so weak on January and thus she experienced numerous hard phases and admitted in hospital.
