“The Miller Place Community will forever be changed as we have lost the President of our athletic booster club. But more than that we lost a great man, anyone who met him became his friend. He gave everything of himself to others around him. For several years Jim would see a lax for hope christmas helmet at the store an he always asked how he could buy one. He was told it was not for sale.
One year Matt and Julia attended our holiday party and jim asked matt about it. He didnt say a word but several days later it showed up at our door. Thats a little bit of who matt was.
Matthew LoNigro you will forever be in our bar.
Thoughts love and prayers for Julia, Matt and Abbey.”

You were always one of my favorite people/parents to see. My office was your office, I loved hanging out with you at port jeff sporting goods and just bullshitting with you. I love working with your kids and being apart of your extended family! You will forever be apart of who I am, you will forever be apart of Revo, you will forever be in my heart and apart of who I am.”

Matthew LoNigro was the kind of guy that you met, and you knew you would be friends. We didn’t talk often, but when we did, it was like we’d spoken the day before. I’m truly sad for the LoNigro family and all of the people who Matt touched through his family business, Port Jeff Sports, as well as the Lacrosse community. RIP Laxer!”
