A 19-year-old who was shot by his Uber driver passed away on Thursday after battling for his life for more than two months. Let’s see, how did Miles McGlashan die in detail.

Tragic death- Miles McGlashan died:

Miles McGlashan, a 19-year-old who was shot by his Uber driver in Hollywood last year, passed away from his wounds.

McGlashan was fired on November 9 following an altercation with his Uber driver, according to the police.

David Kubiliun, the family’s attorney, said that “a mother has to put her son to rest.”
“I can’t think of anything more horrific as a parent.”

Kubiliun added that they are also angry that the Uber driver has not yet been detained, which has made the situation worse.

“It’s extremely disturbing that he has not been held accountable for his actions,” the attorney said.

What happened?

The shooting took place in front of a building near TY Park in Hollywood. The fight started when Miles asked to be dropped off at a different location nearby. According to Miles’ mother, the Uber driver stepped out of the vehicle after Miles did.

Miles McGlashan spent 71 days in the hospital battling for his life while being hooked to various medical machinery.

Hollywood police reported that the Barry University student had died from his wounds. According to Hollywood police spokeswoman Deanna Bettineschi, “an autopsy will be performed in the next few days.”

“Homicide detectives will be taking all the information they gather in this case and presenting it to the State Attorney’s Office.”

In November, police says McGlashan and the Uber driver got into a fight, then the driver shot him hitting the student in the chest.

Who is the Uber driver?

The Uber driver who is the suspect in Miles case has not been yet identified by the police or not charged yet. His mother, April told that in early December, Miles had never been in a fight nor had any trouble with the law.

The circumstances surrounding his death did not make sense to her. April and his grandmother would visit Miles daily as doctor’s effort to save the young man’s life. “I’m mourning who he was,” she said at the time. “His innocence is gone.”

Fundraiser also raised amount for his treatment by sharing MILES with Millions of Smiles. He underwent surgery after Catastrophic injury.
