One Person Taken to Hospital
Following the M5 crash, one individual was brought to the hospital. The incident on the M5 today resulted in one person being transported to the hospital. The incident on the northbound carriageway of the motorway between Clevedon and Portishead has brought fire teams from Avonmouth, Pill, and Clevedon to the site.
Before the personnel arrived, one driver had gotten out of their car. A second person had to be helped out of their automobile by fire crews.
“Crews from Avonmouth, Pill, and Clevedon were alerted at 05:41 to reports of a road traffic collision between junctions 20 and 19 northbound on the M5,” an Avon Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said.
“When firefighters arrived, they discovered a two-vehicle RTC. Before the arrival of personnel, one adult had self-rescued and was checked by our ambulance colleagues on the spot. A second adult was pulled from their vehicle by firefighters, and they were taken to the hospital. “Along with ambulance staff, police and highways were also there.”
