Kema Kanneh, the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone and the closest female bodyguard to H.E. First Lady Fatima Maada Bio, has died after a road accident. Let’s find out what happened to her and the road accident in detail.

Kema Kanneh was the closest female bodyguard to H.E. First Lady Fatima Maada Bio. Kema could not survive her injuries from the gruesome road accident along the Makeni Highway. Kema has just passed away in the Intensive Care Unit. Kema was like a daughter to Fatima.

Fatima’s birthday was a few weeks ago. At the Memorial of the late SLPP Bonthe Chairman was Always next to Fatima; either in front of her or immediately behind her. May her soul rest in perfect peace. This is truly HARD. It’s deeply sad. I will be off Social Media today.

Who is Fatima Maada?

As the wife of President Julius Maada Bio, Fatima Maada Bio (née Jabbe; born 27 November 1980) is the current First Lady of Sierra Leone. She previously held the positions of actress, scriptwriter, and producer.

Bio engaged in several Nollywood film ventures as well as other acting endeavors in the UK. She is a native of Sierra Leone’s Kono District in the country’s southeast, but she also has Gambian ancestry.

Under her maiden name Fatime Jabbe, Fatima enjoyed a prosperous career in the entertainment sector before she married Maada Bio. When she moved to London, she started working in the African film industry.

Among the Nollywood movies she authored, starred in, and produced were Battered, Shameful Deceit, Mr. Ibu in Sierra Leone, Expedition Africa, and The Soul.

She starred in the movie Mirror Boy, for which she received the 2011 ZAFAA Award for “Best Supporting Actress.” She received All African Media’s Pan-African “Woman of the Year Award” in 2013.

Additionally, in Washington, DC, in 2013, she won the African Oscar for Best Female Actress. The same year, she received the Gathering of African Best (GAB) Award for her work in fostering a favorable perception of Africans abroad.
