Last month, Mr. Moreno’s sister Nilsa spoke with Walesonline about her brother and the circumstances surrounding his absence, saying how he was having a hard time adjusting to the loss of their mother.
He “knew the north Cardiff region like the back of his hand,” according to his saddened family. For three years, the family frantically sought information about their father, describing his disappearance as out of the character. The family begged for help in trying to locate him: Georgia, Tia’s 19-year-old sister, and their family said:
“We don’t want to lose you.
“Please come home so that we can face whatever it is you are going through together.”

A new search for Jamie in Llanedeyrn was organized in February by friends and relatives. A body was discovered just a few hours into their new search on Sunday.
Police Statement
According to South Wales Police, investigations are still ongoing and a body has been discovered. A representative stated:
“South Wales Police can confirm a body has been found in woodland in Pentwyn, Cardiff. Police were called at 10.42am today (Sunday, March 12) following the discovery by a community search party looking for long-term missing man, Jamie Moreno.
“Formal identification of the body has yet not been carried out as enquiries are on-going at the scene. The family of Jamie Moreno are being supported by specialist officers at this time.”

The area around the scene is beginning to fill with floral tributes. A local who wants to remain unnamed stated:
“I didn’t know anything about it until I went shopping around 1.30pm or 2pm and there was already police parked up.”
