James, a Crash crew team leader from Eastern Creek Speedway passed away unexpectedly. This sad news was announced by his son, Liam Camilleri on social media post in the following post.
It is with great sadness and heartache to announce that our beloved Dad has passed away today unexpectedly.
The family is all in shock and is grieving the loss of such an amazing Partner/Father/Pop.

Who was James Camilleri?
James aka Camo was a crew member of Sydney Speedway team. Additionally, he was a crew team leader from Eastern Creek Speedway.
He was also a member of the NSW Speedway Kart Club(NSWSKC). Camo was from Rooty Hill, New South Wales, Australia. He lived in Sydney, Australia.
He was an amazing man and he was a crash crew veteran, husband father, and grandfather.
James Camilleri cause of death:
James passed away suddenly on May 21, 2023, after being ill for some time. Australian Speed way community is in complete grief after his sudden passing.

The speedway community lost one of its own today, with the passing of Crash Crew leader James Camilleri. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. To his family and friends, the Sprintcar Association of NSW sends its deepest condolences. RIP James Camilleri.

Yesterday the speedway family lost a great man.
It was only 4 weeks ago he was out there helping 1 of our drivers. You knew that they were in safe hands when the legend James Camilleri was around.
