Following the collision, the Melbourne-bound lanes of the Hume Highway are closed between Violet Town and Euroa.
Detour signs have been installed, directing traffic off the motorway through Violet Town, then along Murchison-Violet Town Road past Miepol and Moorilim to the Goulburn Valley Hwy.

Drivers can use the route south to rejoin the Hume Freeway just north of Seymour.
The Victoria Police Department is in charge of this closure. The road will reopen once the investigations are finished and it is safe to do so.
What did the CFA media say?
According to CFA Media, seven CFA vehicles were on the scene, along with Fire and Rescue Victoria, Ambulance Victoria, and Victoria Police.
Two patients were being treated on the site, according to Ambulance Victoria, and an air ambulance had been dispatched.
Where did the incident occur?
The incident occurred near the Harrys Creek Rd overpass, which is the Hume Hwy exit for Violet Town.
On Monday, just after 2 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the location.
Ten emergency vehicles are on the scene, and the highway’s southbound lanes have been closed.
