Akin studied at the faculty of communication and started working as a journalist. He continued the theater in Adana with works other than acting and founded the Seyhan Municipality Theater Group in 1997 and was its art consultant for five years.
He returned to acting in 2005 with the unfinished Quartet by Tayfun Pirselimoğlu. Akın, who has been involved in successful projects, most recently starred in the movie ‘Don’t Say I Didn’t Love’.
He was a news reporter and acted on national television. He married Japanese Miho Shimotashiro in 2019 at the orange garden in Hadırlı Mahallesi and continued to act in successful roles in many TV series and movies.
