Jason Carmichael, SA Music club artist and cyclist sadly passed away at the age of 55 on December 9, 2022. Jason Carmichael met with an accident while cycling on November 27, 2022. He remained in critical condition after being hit by a car on a busy road for about two weeks.
Just after 5 p.m. on November 27, a blue Honda struck Jason Carmichael, 55, on the Chandlers Hill Road in Happy Valley. Carmichael and the 66-year-old driver, who took a blood test, were both sent to the hospital in an ambulance. While doctors strive to figure out what happened to him, he remained in the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment. Unfortunately, Jason Carmichael died yesterday.

It is with great and deep sincere sadness, that earlier today, we were informed that Jason had succumbed to the injuries he received 2 weeks ago, and passed away with his family at his side.

Jason Carmichael died from the injuries sustained in the accident. He remained hospitalized for two weeks before he passed away.
After Jason met with an accident, Simon, the cyclist’s son, was contacted following the hospitalization of his father. Simon said, “I got a call from the hospital about 20 minutes after it happened that he had been hit by a car.”
“He will recover.”, he said. Unfortunately, Jason, who was in an induced coma at Flinders Medical Centre sadly passed away.
