I recently read a story where some people – for some ludicrous reason were complaining about police robots being used in dangerous situations. But we are still willing to send defenseless dogs to confront armed and psychotic killers? It is completely asinine to me when we have tear gas, bulletproof shields, and other ways – including robots – to subdue suspects. This poor K-9 dog never had a chance. So heartbreaking. And now they’ll say that Jack died a hero. And honor him. When he didn’t have to die at all. With all the technology available now there is absolutely no reason for K-9s to have to be sacrificed. If the situation is too dangerous for trained armed police officers or SWAT officers with bulletproof vests to go in – then how can you justify sending in an unarmed and defenseless dog?
