We regretfully heard today that Kimmo Blom’s cause of death has been the subject of numerous rumours ever since he passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 52.
Kimmo Blom’s cause of death was revealed by Annica Milán, who said, “That’s accurate. Cancer caused his death. In 2015, the musician was given a rare conjunctival melanoma diagnosis, which he battled up until his passing.
“I had surgery, radiotherapy, and a follow-up exam three months later. In 2019, Blom revealed in the Uncensored Päivärinna, “It has been told that the man is clean, he will feel fine, and after three months there will be another checkup and cancer will be found again.

Who is Kimmo Blom?
Kimmo Sakari Blom was a popular rock and metal singer from Finland who also performed on stage. He was a member of the bands Urban Tale, Boys of the Band, and Heartplay.
He started singing in the Finnish Christmas metal band Raskasta Joulua in 2004 and joined the melodic metal band Leverage in 2018.
Along with metal bands like Stratovarius, Thunderstone, Kiuas, Ari Koivunen, Timo Tolkki’s Avalon, and Twilight Guardians, he has also contributed supporting vocals to them.
Kimmo Blom’s Career
With the song “America (I Think I Love You),” Kimmo and his band Boys of the Band attempted to represent Finland at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, but they were unsuccessful in reaching the final.
Five years later, performing under the alias Angelo De Nile, he placed fifth with the song “All For Victory” in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2015, Finland’s national final for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.
