Sad news today to hear of my buddy Jim “Catfish” Metzger’s passing. We worked together in the 90’s for a hot minute. He was one of the many of the “village” that I learned from. Rest in peace my friend.

CONDOLENCES … to my friends at K95 Richmond and to the family and friends of Jim Metzger, who you knew as “Catfish.” Not only was he a nice (and very funny) man, he was a ratings powerhouse in morning drive radio here in the Richmond market for decades. In the mid-90’s when I was new to NBC12, he regularly invited me to be a guest on his show, giving this newbie exposure to his huge audience, and for that, I will forever be grateful. Rest in peace Catfish. #RIP
