Jackson Rohm, Rosemary Beach, FL Singer and Acoustic guitar player died suddenly at the age of 52. This sad news was announced by his family member on the Facebook page, saying,

“I don’t typically like to post long personal notes or thoughts on social media.

But today I have to post something to let the world know about the greatness of a man I was able to call a brother, Robert Jackson Rohm, Stuart Zurn wrote.

He passed away early yesterday morning, at the age of 52, while on a routine business trip from Florida – like so many of us experience. He was up before 6:00 am, the very first person in a random hotel fitness room, running on the treadmill to start his daily routine the right way. He had a heart-attack on the treadmill at 6:24 and was there alone until he was discovered later that morning.”

It was probably the very same routine that always prepared Jackson to face the standard barrage of routine meetings, sales questions, inquisitive peers, ongoing conference calls, and directed client conversations he interacted with each day to drive his team forward.

But this particular morning was clearly not going to be the routine. Angels decided they wanted to take Jackson’s hand and take him to a greater place in time and purpose.

Who was Jackson Rohm?

Jackson Rohm was an American country/pop performer. He had a wide range of songs in his repertoire, including classic rock, 80s pop, 90s rock, and current hit songs.

John was raised in Rosemary Beach, Florida, and San Francisco, California. He was born in Jamestown, New York.

Early life:

Rohm completed his education at West Ellicott, New York’s Southwestern High School in 1989.

Jackson started playing the guitar when he was 12 years old, and his band Sapphire rocked the Southwestern Middle School dance with songs by Ratt, Motley Crue, Van Halen, and Motley Crue.

He attended Cornell University and the University of Virginia before accepting a track scholarship to Miami University. As an undergraduate, he joined the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity.

Musical Career:

Jackson was a professional solo acoustic artist and performer, ’ve thrown out seven full-length albums of original music and performed at over 4,000 shows.

While his songs “Rio,” “Gasoline and Matches,” “One More Fourth of July,” “Bleeding,” and “The Old Me” were frequently played across the US. He played at original music clubs and festivals. He also performed at cover venues and private parties throughout the East Coast and Midwest.

His 2001 album Sink or Swim has a contemporary rock vibe. A cover of “Joey” by Concrete Blonde was included in Rohm’s 2003 album Red Light Fever. Four on the Floor, Rohm’s fourth CD, was released in 2006.

Long Way From Moving On, Rohm’s sixth CD, was released in 2008. His Nashville-recorded album Acoustic Sessions, which included five brand-new songs in addition to acoustic versions of some of his previously published tracks, was released in 2010.

In Atlanta, Georgia, Rohm recorded the 12-song album Blindsided with producer Aaron Thompson, returning to his rock origins. The album includes the uplifting songs “Blue Skies and Butterflies” and “Superglue,” as well as the title track, a ballad penned for his wife.

You will always hold a huge, huge place in our hearts. Forever and always. Jackson keeps singing and playing your music in heaven every day. We’ll all see you at some point soon.”
