Oh PLEASE no. I am absolutely stunned to find out that my high school buddy and guitarist extraordinaire Levi Lloyd has passed away. Such a humble guy and such a great player….he has been steady on it ever since his school days and has created an impeccable reputation around Northern California. Mostly to me he was a solid brother and a good friend. I remember his sheer determination to be a good player all those years ago and he sure achieved that and then some. Farewell my friend, we will never forget you.

Another gut punch for me! We were tight in the late 80’s. Some would say thick as thieves. “I was with the band”, as I helped carry in his gear. I used that line to get into the club near Fishermans’ wharf a few years back. Then I put a 20 in the tip jar. I used the line as a flashback, a force of habit, not that I was a broke ass like I was back then. I didn’t know that this would be the last time I would see him. Sleep tight my brother from another mother!
Hey Robert: Levi has been a dear friend of mine for many years. A kind, gentle soul who brought a smile and fun to so many. It was always such a joy to listen and dance to his music. Such awesome talent. I know the place. You went to in S F. .I have been there with Levi also in the late 90’s. He wanted to go see friends of his that were playing I believe it was the Driifers. (One of them just passed on the day before Levi . .The last time I had the pleasure of conversing with Levi was at the last Camp Meeker party, I too not knowing it would be the last time and It truly saddens me.. What will we all do without Levi??? My blessings and condolences to Samantha. GG
