Who was Frank LeMaster?
From 1974 until 1982, Frank Preston LeMaster was a former professional American football linebacker in the National Football League. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles. LeMaster, who is 6’1″ and weighs 195 pounds, was selected by the Eagles in the fourth round of the 1974 NFL Draft from the University of Kentucky. In 1981, he was chosen to play in his sole Pro Bowl.
He participated in 129 regular-season games and started 115 of them throughout his National Football League (NFL) career, which spanned from 1974 to 1982 and was based solely in Philadelphia. He also started seven postseason contests. He had 14.5 sacks and ten interceptions by the time the game was through.

He came back to the Philadelphia region and stayed there throughout his life. LeMaster spent more than ten years working for FieldTurf, a company that creates and maintains athletic surfaces after he gave up playing football.
He discussed his affection for the Philadelphia region and how he and his wife Marylou decided to settle on a farm in Birchrunville, Chester County when he retired from football because it reminded him so much of Kentucky that day at Eagles OTAs last spring.
LeMaster, a successful businessman, has devoted a great deal of time to helping several charities in and around Chester County. In fact, Frank was chosen as the NFL Man of the Year in 1982 for his dedication to the community and his role in raising millions of dollars for these causes.
He was inducted to the Kentucky NFL Hall of Fame in 2007, and the Kentucky High School Hall of Fame in 2009.
