Who was Crystal Vincent?
Crystal Vincent was a 911 Director of Polk County. Mrs. Vincent worked with Polk County 911 for over 25 years. In her time employed with the County, she assisted thousands of individuals in times of crisis, served as a mentor to many 911 dispatchers, and was always willing to help other departments when needed.
Most recently, Crystal played an instrumental role in the upgrading of our public safety communications system. She was a fantastic public servant and was always devoted to the field of public safety.
Crystal Vincent was a joy to work with and she served the citizens of Polk County very well! She will be missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire others at Polk County 911.
Cause of Death
Polka Government has announced their 911 director has passed away today morning. Polk County lost an amazing individual today. Crystal Vincent, our 911 Director, passed away this morning after an extended illness.
No cause of death has been revealed as of now. However, she is suffering from some illness as per the reports. As soon as the News came out, Her family and friends are pouring condolences on Social Media. It is very devastating news for their Loved ones.
How does Polk County E911 operate?
Polk County E911 operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This center consists of four 12-hour shifts that operate 7 am-7pm or 7 pm-7am. Fully staffed, the E911 Center consists of a Shift Supervisor and 3 Communication Officers per shift, a 911 Director, and a 911 Assistant Director. The E911 Division handles communications for all law enforcement agencies within the county, city, and county fire departments, and emergency medical services. They are:
- Aragon Police Department
- Cedartown Police Department
- Cedartown Fire Department
- Rockmart Police Department
- Rockmart Fire Department
- Polk County Sheriff’s Office
- Polk County Police Department
- Polk County Fire Department
- Advent Health Emergency Medical Services
Every effort will be made by the Polk County E911 Center to prevent harm and loss of life, protection, and or loss of property and assist any citizen in their time of crisis.
