College Station, TX shooting: Curtis Dickey & Kelly Adams shot and killed, suspect Charles Ray Johnson in custody

A shooting occurred in the 1800 block of Potomac and Southwest Pkwy in College Station, leaving two individuals dead: Curtis Dickey and Kelly Adams. Officers have notified CID, Crime Scene, and PIO, and officers are currently looking into the shooting. Keep reading to know more about the College Station shooting in detail.

 

College Station shooting:

A shooting in College Station claimed the lives of two persons. Two counts of murder have been filed against the suspect, who has been in custody.

According to College Station Police, they were called at 10:01 p.m. on Wednesday regarding a complaint of gunshots in the 1800 block of Potomac Place and Southwest Parkway. The Crime Scene Investigation team, Criminal Investigations Division unit, and public information officer were all informed.

A guy and a woman with gunshot wounds were found outside the house. After assessing the victims’ injuries, efforts were undertaken to save their lives. But both victims passed away right there on the spot.

Curtis Ray Dickey, Jr., 44, of College Station and Kelly Nicole Adams, 46, both of College Station, were the victims.

The incident has been reported to both families.

 

Suspect Arrested:

Charles Ray Johnson, 64, of College Station has been named as the suspect. Two counts of murder have been filed against Johnson. The suspect was located and taken into custody.

The two victims, 44-year-old Curtis Dickey and 46-year-old Kelly Adams, and their 64-year-old neighbor, Charles Johnson, got into a verbal fight before being shot, according to the preliminary investigation.

There are no longer any threats to the public, and no additional injuries have been reported.

College Station Shooting cases:

Around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, 2022, in the 1200 block of Holik Drive between Holleman Drive and Anderson Street, there were reports of gunfire. Antoine Moreno, 20, said in court papers that he was pistol-whipped in the face as the group approached him. Moreno said that he shot his gun to defend himself. One victim was shot in the abdomen, according to the police, during a gunshot exchange between Moreno and the gang. Charges of having a stolen gun and tampering with evidence led to Moreno’s arrest. Additionally, Tayshon Franklin-Jones, 20, was detained in Bryan after being accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Zachary Carl Pfluger, 27, was taken into custody in 2021 following a protracted confrontation. He has amended his pleas to guilty to aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault on a public official. A $400,000 bond was imposed for Pfluger. Pfluger shot his friend at Lake Walk at Traditions around 3:30 p.m., according to the police, because he found his friend’s wedding attire offensive.
