At around 8:20 am, police went to the scene between Central Bay and the Salford Watersports Centre. After her death was discovered, forensics was also seen by the waterside. Following Charlotte’s disappearance, police had previously appealed.
On Tuesday morning, police surrounded the walkways next to the sea, and they stayed there for several hours.

“Lottie was a good friend of mine. She lived two floors above me and I met her the third day after moving in and invited her to come to our flat.
She posted to her Snapchat and was someone who went out on her own on late night walks frequently. The night she went missing she posted and then there was nothing else from her.
Lottie was funny. She didn’t think she was, but she really really was.
You always knew she was there for you if you needed her, even if she didn’t know what to say to you she would still listen.
She was one of the first people willing to help someone. She loved film and was so gifted with so much going for her in terms of her talent, film making and editing.
She always enjoyed going down to the river which is bittersweet for us now. We were very open with each other about our issues and it brought us a lot closer.”

The police department shared a picture of Charlotte on social media to increase interest in the search for her.
They reported that,
“officers are becoming increasingly concerned about her and want to make sure she is safe and well.” Anyone who may have information regarding Charlotte’s whereabouts is asked to call the police at either 0161 856 7857 or 101.
