Carol Locatell was born on December 13, 1940. She was an American actress. She was known for her role in the 1985 slasher film, Friday the 13th: A New Beginning as the foul-mouthed mean lady Ethel

Carol is best known for her role of Ethel “Ma” Hubbard in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985). Locatell made her film debut in Jack Hill’s 1973 blaxploitation film Coffy. She also appeared in the Burt Reynolds films Paternity (1977), Best Friends (1981), and Sharky’s Machine (1982) as well as The Family Stone (2005) and 13 Fanboy (2021).

She also made guest appearances on numerous television shows including The Flying Nun (1967), Bonanza (1970-1972 – 3 episodes), Mannix (1973), Barnaby Jones (1974), M*A*S*H (1976, 1978), The Bad Seed (1985), Dynasty (1986), Growing Pains (1991), Life Goes On (1992), ER (1995), The Pretender (1996, 1997), 7th Heaven (1997), Saved by the Bell: The New Class (1997), Ally McBeal (1997), NYPD Blue (1997, 2003), Caroline in the City (1998), The Practice (2000), Touched by an Angel (2001), NUMB3RS (2005), Grey’s Anatomy (2008), Mad Men (2009), Scandal (2014), NCIS (2017) and Shameless (2019).

Locatell was married to musician/songwriter composer Gregory Prestopino. They divided time between residences in New York City and Thousand Oaks, California, their primary residence.
