“I’m sadden by the news of the passing of musician and Bassist, The Geat ONE aka Bam Bam Mr Brett Harrell. Brett became my musical shaman of sorts for me after our first run in at Open Mic Sunday with his jazz fusion band As One at the Mark IV in 1997. From there we bounced around over the years in different Trios , Duo and we reconnected again mid 2000 in Tony Johnson’s show band Kustom Made touring Casino work and special event Gigs up and down the East Coast. Lower Left photo shows Bam playing with me at Wine down Jazz Wednesday in Hampton after a 5 hour stint in dialysis. The photo above it was our last Jazz gig with ” The heavy hitters” in 2020.
This man’s ear for music? was indescribable! His passion and love and kind-hearted nature for others? was even greater.

He was one of those individuals who enters your life and makes an impression. Because of him, choir and band were so much fun. He formerly eagerly anticipated band camp and competitions. The entire community will miss him.
