How did Ben Heaton die?

The Halifax Panthers have expressed sorrow and sadness over the death of a former player who died last night at the age of 33. According to the reports, he lost his life in a motor accident.

Halifax Panthers has posted this sad news by sharing the following statement on social media,

Halifax Panthers are devastated by the news that former player Ben Heaton tragically passed away last night at the age of 33

Ben spent 7 years at The Shay and was beloved by all those that knew him. Our condolences go out to his family and friends at this sad time. RIP Fluff, you will be sorely missed.

Who was Ben Heaton?

Ben was a rugby league football player who competed with Oldham (Heritage No. 1249) in the RFL Championship as a center, second row, or fullback. He was born on March 12, 1990.

Heaton has previously played for Oldham, Halifax in the Betfred Championship, and Batley Bulldogs while on loan. He was said to have signed with Oldham in the RFL Championship on September 30, 2020.  He played for Oldham, Halifax, Batley Bulldogs, and Hunslet.

Heaton studied at Hopwood Hall College and lived in Wigan. He was from Rochdale. He was a warrior on the pitch and remembered as a great gentleman.

Ben Heaton cause of death:

Ben Heaton passed away unexpectedly in a crash last night (July 22, 2023). Everyone who knew him was completely heartbroken to know this sad news.

He played for the Panthers for the most of his playing career at The Shay, earning over 100 appearances. Before Sunday’s Betfred Championship home game against Sheffield Eagles, the team will observe a moment of silence.

Former Rugby player, Luke Ambler also made a tribute to him by saying, “So so sad to see this. hard as nails was Ben”, he wrote.

Friends and relatives were shocked to learn about his sudden death. Our thoughts are with his close ones and family during this difficult time. We respect his family privacy during this grieving time.

Tributes flooded social media after his sudden demise news broke out. Ben was survived by his beloved wife and his beautiful son.
