Around 6:30 a.m., police were called to the area of Coalter and Littlepage streets where a woman on the road had been struck.
According to sources who spoke to Burkett investigators, the woman was purposefully driven over by a car. At VCU Medical Centre, the victim was declared dead after being transported there.

A 25-year-old Van’Meshia Proctor from Richmond, Virginia, was fatally struck by a vehicle. Van’Meshia Proctor was struck by a car on the road near Coalter and Littlepage streets at about 6:30 in the morning.
The incident occurred near Coalter and Llittlepage streets. Authorities claim that she was intentionally run over by a car. Proctor was taken to VCU Medical Centre where she was later pronounced dead. According to sources, the driver fled the scene.
