After his first four years in the Corps, he got his college degree then went back in the Corps, eventually reaching the highest enlisted rank. At one point Dave was the oldest enlisted Marine in Iraq in his 50’s. After retirement Dave volunteered as a docent at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, Virginia. My last visit with Dave was July 1, knowing that this was the last time I would see him. Hardcore Marine, but a kind, gentle soul. Semper Fi Dave until we meet again.,”

  1. Dave’s passing was expected from the pancreatic cancer diagnosed in 2016 which became metastatic in early 2023. The pancreatic cancer was a delayed diagnosis from his Iraqi tours.
