Felix Kapote death: Music producer, also known as Rebel music passed away

Malawian music producer, Felix Kapote, also known as Rebel Music has passed away. Let’s see how did the music producer die and his cause of death in detail.

How did Felix Kapote die?

Felix, the famous music director from Lilongwe, Malawi has passed away on May 13, 2023. This sad news was announced by Tonderai Banda on a Facebook post and the statement reads,

Rest in Peace Felix Kapote.. I can’t believe yesterday was our last day talking, you had said you were better and in 3 days your going home.

I was hoping we are going to tell Malawi the great news together. Anyway loading…… Entertainers Promotions………..

I will still tell them sooner… keep watching this space. I know you will be proud, imagine you are the first person I told in Malawi. Entertainers Promotions has lost the best graphic designer.

Malawian artist, Janta also expressed sadness on his Facebook handle in the following tribute post.

Who was Felix Kapote?

Felix was an Artist, Producer, Audio Engineer, Graphic Designer, and the Filmmaker from Malawi. He did a great contribution to the Digital Media Industry and was a key player in the Communication support system of Malawi. 

Felix was a producer of RebelMusiQ and produced many hip-hop blues songs. He was a well-known figure in the Malawian Digital world.

Felix Kapote cause of death:

Felix has been ill for some time and was admitted to Kamuzu Central Hospital, Ethel Muntharika wing. Unfortunately, it was reported that Kapote passed away suddenly today.

Fellow musician, Dominant 1 also shared a tribute to Felix in the following statement,

Today is an extremely pivotal day for me because I have lost someone who contributed so much to my life. This man motivated me, always reminded me how much of a Genius I am, and always challenged me to be better.

You never charged me a cent for any of the dope-ass visual art you created for me. I JUST WANNA SAY THIS TO YOU MY BROTHER, IM ABOUT TO WIN IT FOR BOTH OF US!!!!

Till we meet again in the next life for now… REST IN PEACE Felix Kapote 

However, his cause of death was not revealed yet. Tributes flooded social media after his demise news broke out.

His funeral will be held in Nkhatabay, near Lilongwe (Area 49 ancient shire), and friends and family will depart there at 1 o’clock.

Most of you will never live to know this guy but I have known him for over 13 years and Felix was a key player Communication support in Malawi. His works shall always be remembered.

I last got his service on a Poster for an event we had on the 5th May 2023. To the family and all friends and clients of Felix Kapote. I want to acknowledge this Man for his service. May he be celebrated as one of the greatest achievers in our Nation.

Many people with his talent will not believe this but Key players in our digital world. Son of Mother Malawi . You served us well!

The Legends are saddened by the death of Felix Kapote our audio engineer and producer Bleek and I had visited Felix at Kamuzu Central Hospital, Ethel Muntharika wing yesterday in the afernoon. We did not know that was our last meeting. Someone so special can never be forgotten. How I wish we talked about music for the last time.

We will never forget your love for our music,you were our number one fan. We shall remember your constructive criticism. Always remember your lessons. Sleep well Legend Felix Kapote.
