“Screw you, as Jack would say.
It is with great sadness that we in the family let you know that last night Jack lost a long, hard battle with cancer. Jack’s wish was to be home during his final time with his loved ones, which he was. Round the clock, surrounded by so much love.

Lars Jacob Jack Vreeswijk was a Swedish ballad singer, songwriter, and lyricist who lived from 25 January 1964 until April 2023. As he is the son of troubadour Cornelis Vreeswijk, he has made three CDs of his music and frequently performs his father’s compositions. He frequently had guitarist Love Tholin playing with him.
Jack Vreeswijk performed in a biographical musical production about his father called From James Dean to Nationalskald in the summer of 2006 at the Lundsbrunns Wellness Resort in Götene. He wrote the screenplay and also played the elder Cornelis, the protagonist. Songs were interspersed with the acting.
