Lisa Loring was an American actress. She was most known for portraying Wednesday Addams when she was six years old in the sitcom The Addams Family, which aired from 1964 to 1966.
Lisa Ann DeCinces Loring was born in Kwajelein, Marshall Islands, on February 16, 1958. Following Jenna Ortega’s portrayal of the enduring character in the Netflix series, interest in Loring’s work as Wednesday Addams had recently increased. In the first live-action version of Charles Addams’ New Yorker cartoons, Loring played the role of Wednesday. Between two seasons from 1964 to 1966, the show generated 64 episodes.
She joined the cast of The Pruitts of Southampton on ABC in 1966. She appeared in the CBS soap opera As the World Turns from 1980 to 1983 as Cricket Montgomery. She made appearances in the B-grade slasher movies Blood Frenzy (1987), Iced (1988), and Savage Harbor (1987).
After The Addams Family, Lisa Loring made appearances on several shows, including The Phyllis Diller Show, The Girl from U.N.C.L.E., Fantasy Island, Barnaby Jones, and As the World Turns, where she had a recurring role as Cricket Montgomery. In 1977’s Halloween television movie starring the New Addams Family, Loring later played Wednesday in a reprise of the role. Her most recent acting role was in the 2015 film Doctor Spine.
