How did Yul Edochie’s son die?
Yul Edochie, a well-known politician and film director, and his first wife May Edochie lost their first child, Kambilichukwu Edochie. The 15-year-old reportedly collapsed on Wednesday while playing football in school. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
According to the Vanguard report, his child was taken to the hospital after becoming unresponsive. The story claims that Kambilichukwu read all night long to be prepared for his exam.
After his exam, he joined his friend to play football. At that point, he started having seizures and was taken to Mother and Child Hospital, where attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
The report further stated that all attempts by the medics to revive him failed. This occurs two months after Kambilichukwu Edochie turned 16 and was honored by Yul Edochie and his first wife May with praise and blessings.
“My first son just turned 16. Happy birthday to you Kambi Leo Yul-Edochie. Many more great years I wish you loads of accomplishments and greatness. May God be with you always. Daddy loves you,” his father wrote on Instagram
Yul is the last child of veteran actor, Pete Edochie. He wedded his wife, Mary, at the age of 22 after they both dated for six years. He followed in his father’s footsteps and debuted in the movie industry a year after his marriage.
Who is Yul Edochie?
Chibuike Yul Named after Russian actor Yul Brynner, Daniel Edochie, also known as Yul Edochie, is a Nigerian actor. He is a native of the Nigerian state of Anambra and the son of Pete Edochie.
He was brought up in both Lagos and Enugu. Yul is the sixth and final child. Yul married when he was 22 years old. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts from the University of Port Harcourt.
In 2005, Edochie made his Nollywood debut in the movie The Exquires, costarring Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa. After appearing in the 2007 film Wind of Glory with Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot, he finally got his big break. Edochie established a film academy in Lagos in 2015. The academy offers talented individuals the chance to get their foot in the door of the Nigerian film industry.

Kambilichukwu turned 16 in January 2023 and his parents took to social media to celebrate him.
