Why Panya Khamrab killed 34 people?

Following his attack at the daycare center in Nong Bua Lamphu, Thailand, the perpetrator shot himself, his wife, and their child at roughly 3 p.m. local time (9 a.m. UK time).

A former policeman opened fire at a children’s nursery in northern Thailand, killing at least 34 people, including 24 children.

After being fired from his job for using illegal drugs, the 34-year-old gunman killed himself, his wife, and his child in Nong Bua Lamphu, about 333 miles north-northeast of Bangkok, where a massive manhunt was in progress.

Unknown were Panya Khamrab’s motivations, but among the 34 fatalities and 18 injured were 24 children, some as young as two years old, a local police officer said on Thursday.

According to district official Jidapa Boonsom, “at first, they believed it was fireworks.”

According to Paisan Luesomboon, a police spokesperson, the attacker was furious when he arrived at the daycare and saw that his child was not present. He then departed.

A teacher who was eight months pregnant was among the four or five employees the perpetrator initially shot, according to Ms. Boonsom.

One day before the tragedy, a teacher who was shot uploaded a photo from his son’s birthday party.

According to PPTV, a local TV station, the shooter shot at individuals as he drove away after shooting at the daycare center. While eyewitnesses said they also saw the shooter brandishing a knife.

Images purported to show children’s bodies covered in white blankets and encircled by bloody puddles.

Afternoon nap time was observed at the center when the shooting took place.

The front bumper of the car was torn off as Mr. Khamrab departed the scene in a white Vigo pickup truck with a Bangkok registration, according to Thai Tiger.

Blood is urgently needed, according to Nong Bua Lamphu and Na Klang hospitals in the area, to treat attack victims. Those who can give blood right away should get to either hospital as soon as they can.

The Minister of Social Development and Human Security, Mr. Juti Krairiksh, has directed local officials to give all gunshot victims and their families prompt aftercare.

The police spokesperson then pleaded with people to refrain from spreading images and videos of the gunshot victims.

According to Royal Thai Police spokesman Major General Achayon Kraithong, the tragedy was a loss that nobody wanted to occur.

He went on: “I want to start by sending my sympathies to all the families who have lost loved ones.

Warning social network users to kindly avoid sharing photographs and video recordings, as well as the injured.”

All child development centers in the region were to be closed, per order from General Anupong Paochinda.

Despite having a significantly greater prevalence of gun ownership than some of its neighbors, Thailand rarely has large-scale shootings.

A soldier went on a four-location spree in 2020, killing at least 29 people and injuring 57 others after a property deal went sour.

Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha called the shooting a “shocking incident”.

He said: “I would like to express my deepest condolences to the families of the lost and injured.”

Chan-ocha also ordered all agencies to urgently treat those wounded.

The rate of gun ownership in Thailand is high compared with some other countries in the region.

A teacher who tries to escape from the gunman explains the scene below:

“I knew it was a gun because I heard many gunshots, and then I saw him put in the bullets and point the gun at me,” the instructor, who scaled a wall to escape the shooter, said.

“When I called the teacher, she was hugging the student. I climbed the walls and yelled for help as he kicked the mirror.

He spent a lot of time inside the child center. He severed the heads of all the children with a knife. Also, he had a tiny gun with him.

“I was unaware that he intended to murder the children. He stayed inside for a considerable amount of time when I believed he would emerge. He stabbed each child with a knife. “A pregnant teacher was also stabbed by him. It won’t be long until she delivers birth. His knife struck my staff. All I know is that.”

The attacker, according to police, returned home after the horrific crime in a white pickup truck that he set on fire before shooting his wife and child and then himself.

The shooter broke into a closed room where about 30 children were sleeping at the center and savagely shot and stabbed them while they were there.

After that, he resumed his rampage outside, slamming his truck into onlookers and firing at them. In horrifying photos, blanket-covered victims are seen strewn around the nursery floor.

As an ambulance hurriedly transported the injured to a hospital, the distraught family could be seen sobbing outside the nursery.

Drugs destroyed his brain. Tragic beyond tragic. How many more?

He was dismissed from the force for drug use but it was alright for him to retain a firearm!? There may not be many mass shootings in Thailand but IMO even one is far too many and when the majority of victims are babies it’s unfathomable. I’m sorry the perpetrator erased itself it should be here in unbearable, untouchable, and untreatable pain.

Rudeboy said,

It’s always a Thai police officer after getting sacked.

Nothing on this Earth, other than defending the very lives of my own family, would compel me to shoot anyone, let alone children! And yet this monster not only murdered his family but all those poor innocent children in the daycare center! It’s unspeakably horrific.
