Two small children were discovered dead inside a Massachusetts house on Tuesday night. A baby was also discovered to be seriously injured and was sent to the hospital. Let’s see who is Lindsay Clancy and what happened in detail.
Who is Lindsay Clancy?
Duxbury’s resident Lindsay Clancy is now a suspect in the horrible crime, according to prosecutors.
Lindsay Clancy, a 32 year old mother of three was suffering from PPD, according to the surroundings.
“Her husband was working from home instead of going in to work to be able to try and support her daily while she went to a program 5 days a week for PPD. and in the 25 minutes it took him to pick up take out, the unthinkable happened”
The case has been hard for everyone, especially the first responders who came to the site.
Duxbury town manager René Read stated that “our community is, of course, reeling from the tragic events of last night.”
When authorities revealed that the mother of three small children has been charged with the murder of two of them, a 5-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, the Duxbury town manager found it difficult to control his emotions.
“Preliminarily, it appears the children were strangled,” said Tim Cruz, the district attorney for Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
“Everybody is in a state of disbelief. It is tragic, you know, the whole neighborhood is trying to process this whole thing,” neighbor Sullivan said.
What happened to the mother and three children?
Lindsay Clancy, mother of three killed her two children and injured the infant. The officers are still processing the fact that the children were found dead, allegedly by their mother.
At a hospital in Boston, a 7-month-old baby boy is also battling for his life. According to investigators, the mother, 32-year-old Lindsay Clancy, made a suicide attempt and is still in the hospital for treatment.
After Clancy’s husband Patrick arrived to their Duxbury home on Wednesday night to discover their three children “unconscious, with apparent symptoms of trauma,” Clancy, 32, was taken to the hospital while under police arrest.
Lindsay Clancy attempted to kill all three of her children this week. The youngest one survived. Postpartum psychosis is terrifying. This needs to be discussed every single day and not ignored. Rest In Peace to these two angels. 💔 pic.twitter.com/aPIv9PXWQW

At the hospital, Cora, 5, and Dawson, 3, were declared dead. The children appeared to have been strangled, although the cause of their deaths has not yet been determined by the medical examiner.
According to the police, the father of the children called 911. First responders who arrived at the residence quickly are also in mourning after discovering a scenario that has made them devastated and in need of support of their own.
“To all those who responded, we care about you. If you or a colleague need support, please reach out,” said Chief Robert Reardon, with the Duxbury Fire Department.
Why did she kill her own children?
Authorities are viewing the possibility that Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis.
Clancy earlier shared about her depression on Facebook in July that she finally felt “dialed in” again, after six weeks of her third child’s birth.
“Curious to hear a statement from the individuals treating her and what was missed. Sounds like she was in a desperate situation,” he said.
Rev. Robert J. Deehan said the community was “devastated and heartbroken” by the tragedy at a vigil for the family at Duxbury’s Holy Family Church Thursday night.
According to the local clergyman Reverend Bill Ferguson of the Pilgrim Church, the neighborhood is looking for ways to lend a hand.
“How do you? Especially when young children are involved. Mental health issues — if those are some of the reasons why this happened — we just don’t know, it’s unknowable,” Rev. Ferguson said.
