Who is Aldrick Scott?
Authorities have detained a man in Central America on suspicion of abducting a woman from Omaha. On Tuesday, Aldrick Scott, 47, was found in Belize.
Regarding the abduction of Cari Allen, Scott is thought to be a person of interest. Around 11 p.m. on November 19, Allen, 43, was last seen at her residence near 168th and Blondo Streets. Late in November, a search was conducted at Scott’s Topeka residence about the disappearance of Allen.

According to a press statement from the Sheriff’s Office, detectives from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office traveled to Topeka and collaborated with the Topeka Police Department to search for Scott and Allen.
They discovered that Scott had departed the country after boarding a plane while they were there. On November 23, Scott was given a warrant accusing him of kidnapping.
On the night of November 21, someone called 911 and reported that Scott had slain his fiancée, according to scanner chatter from the Topeka Police Department.
That evening, Scott’s residence was the subject of a search warrant that the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office acknowledged was related to the missing-persons inquiry.
Scott’s whereabouts were sought by the Metro Fugitive Task Force and United States Marshals Service. Later this week, Scott is scheduled to face an extradition hearing.
The search for Allen is still going on. Numerous searches have been carried out by the Sheriff’s Office, including one at the Pheasant Point Landfill close to Bennington.

McLaren says she remains hopeful Allen will return home. “I’m going to continue to pray every single night that she is fine and they will find her safe and she will be okay. It’s just scary now because we are on day 8 or 9.″
According to a Facebook post from disability service company Vodec, Allen works with persons with impairments and helped launch a groundbreaking program called “ELM,” or “Exceptional living with multiple disabilities.”
