Who is Matthew-Tuan Anh Tran?
Right in front of the police station, a would-be cop assassin shoots a La Habra police officer in the chest before his partner retaliates.
The 22-year-old suspect, who was later named as Matthew-Tuan Anh Tran, was quickly declared dead. According to the footage, the suspect shot the officer twice in the body without any notice or provocation before another officer opened fire, hitting the suspect with three of her five rounds.

Why did shot Tran shot La Habra police?
Here is how the incident progressed, as described in a narrative provided by the OCDA.
Around seven o’clock on August 6, 2021, a lady dialled 911 out of worry for a stranger who was tailgating and following her on the 5 Freeway as she headed home from work.
She was being followed by the other driver at all times as she turned and changed lanes. She was instructed to park in front of the North Euclid Street, police station in La Habra.

“Officials with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office announced Monday that an officer with the La Habra Police Department was justified in the fatal shooting of a suspect outside the doors of the police department in August 2021.”— Shane B. Murphy (@shanermurph) December 20, 2022
The other driver, in a 1998 Toyota Camry, kept pursuing her as he pulled up to the police station, parked behind her, got out, and started attempting to enter the building’s lobby.
Although the lobby was closed, two cops immediately arrived and began to talk to the man, later identified as Tran. He claimed that he was looking inside the building for someone. Tran is seen pulling a gun and firing at one of the officers backs up a few steps in the video.

The second cop fired five shots in short succession in response. While on the ground, the suspect still had his revolver in hand.
He was continuously yelled at by the cop to lay down his firearm or else she will keep shooting. Other police ultimately showed up and helped out in the interim.
They were able to approach Tran, disarm him, and drag him to the pavement where they could arrest him. He had been shot in the head and was not breathing when paramedics arrived a short while later and tried to assist him. But he had been shot in the head and did not have a pulse. Tran had also been shot in the right thigh and right torso, according to an autopsy.
The wounded officer quickly collapsed to the ground while clearly in pain. She can be heard asking Tran, “Are you OK?,” after the second officer opened fire on him. He hears me and says, “No!”
Tran’s weapon was described as a 9mm semi-automatic pistol in the Glock design that had no serial number and was reportedly known as a “ghost gun.” According to the results of his autopsy, Tran had methamphetamine, amphetamine, and marijuana in his system.

Tran’s gun was NOT fake! He shot the male officer first and was then shot by the female officer. Bad reporting.
You need to understand “ghost gun” before commenting.
A GHOST GUN ISNT A FAKE GUN! The article is horribly written and that is one small example of the bad reporting contained within this article.
The writing of this article is BAD!
A “ghost gun” is NOT a “FAKE GUN”! It’s a real gun but with no serial numbers & no licensed owner. Obviously it’s NOT a fake.
The following paragraph is just HORRIBLE!
“The wounded officer quickly collapsed to the ground while clearly in pain. She can be heard asking Tran, “Are you OK?,” after the second officer opened fire on him. He hears me and says, “No!”
ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
Who is SHE? Of course SHE is the other officer but the poorly written article would lead one to believe that SHE was the WOUNDED OFFICER, which of course, she wasn’t.
Worst of all, the article states, “She can be heard asking Tran, “Are you OK?,” after the second officer opened fire on him. He hears me and says, “No!”
”SHE” did not ask Tran if he was “OK”! She asked the other officer! Tran did not respond “NO!” He didn’t respond at all being that he was, rightfully, SHOT IN THE HEAD!!
Plus, the paragraph concludes with, “He hears me..” Hold on, is this a quote? You don’t state that you’re quoting the officer and, as mentioned above, she wasn’t asking TRAN about his condition!
The whole article is horribly written. It may be your first, and just keep trying. You’ll get better!
I think all of you need to take some reading classes.
