But when they went up to the Maze Runner and Love Actually actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster, they had no idea what they were doing. The weirdest thing is that neither female appears to recognize that they are speaking with Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
The two girls are seen in the video approaching the Maze Runner actor on the street with a microphone and surprising him with the question:
“Would you rather $100 or a date with us two.”
Thomas, 32, turns around to face the females and pauses to consider the question that was just posed to him. To be honest, this guy most likely anticipated that they would request a photo or an autograph rather than a three-way date.
He chuckled and said, “Oh, I’m in a relationship, so I’d take the $100, no offence.”
He screamed after the girls as they stomped off, laughing at his response: “But I’m also English, so dollars are of no use to me. So I’d have neither.”
When Thomas and the girls are bargaining, one of the girls says, “£90?”. All right, 90 quid then, Thomas says.
One of the females only discovers she kind of recognizes him at this time. She asks, “Just out of interest, are you an actor.”
He replies into her mic, “I am an actor.”
But resist the urge to rejoice. She may have seen his acting career, but she has no idea where he is from.
She appears to be confusing him with actor Skandar Keynes when she asks, “Did you do The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe?”
No matter how politely Thomas replies, “No. I went to the premiere but I wasn’t in it.”

The girls decide against making a second guess and let Thomas go about his day. However, after posting the clip to TikTok, they received a deluge of startled comments from viewers who couldn’t believe they hadn’t recognized *the* Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
One wrote: “How can you not know who that is”.
Another said: “He’s in loads of movie”
Another pointed out: “Swear that was the guy from Maze Runner.”
Another viewer, who was maybe a bit more alarmed by the Maze Runner encounter, commented: “HOWS BRO JUST BUMPING INTO NEWT LIKE IT’S AN EVERYDAY OCCURRENCE.” But that wasn’t the only thing that made Thomas recognizable.
